hey john!

thank you for starting this discussion on the community.

i am going to pass this along to other members for them to 

become involved in the discussion!

i just was telling someone yesterday:

Romans 8:1

For there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

 

sometimes we beat ourselves up and condemn ourselves but "convicted" is what the Lord wants us to feel instead.

it's hard to fathom that no matter WHAT we have done....we are forgiven.

So true, John. If we were perfect we wouldn't be here! Interesting how in Matthew 19, when the rich young ruler came to Jesus and asked about what good thing he must do to inherit eternal life, Jesus responded "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only One who is good." He goes on to say "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."   Thank God for His grace, since we all fall short of His glory.
